P1 Recap

For all of you who haven’t been to pharmacy school, P1 means the first year of pharmacy school. For me, it was 9 months of pure study-fest. I have never studied so much in my life before. On my last day of finals, I lit my physiology notes on fire to celebrate; it felt good to see the paper turn to ash. Then I played basketball for 4 straight hours.

The fall semester was hard. It took me awhile to get accustomed to the workload. October was especially gruesome. It seemed that all our professors schemed to put an @$$load of tests in that month. The spring semester made fall seem like a puppy though. In our second semester of P1, we had literally 2-3 exams EVERY week. It was constant nonstop craziness. I’m glad it’s over though. Now I can look forward to working and chilling this summer. Then I get to experience P2 year which they say is HARDER than P1 year. Yippee!

Even though it seems really hard right now, all that studying will definitely pay off in the long run. From what I’ve heard, the hardest part of pharmacy school is getting in — even though you have to study a lot now it will get easier. Think about how many people would trade places with you in a heartbeat! Good luck with your studies.
